Box Score COLUMBIA, S.C. – One day after a poor performance in a loss to Claflin College, the Benedict College Lady Tigers volleyball team regrouped and cruised to an easy 3-0 victory over Fort Valley State on Thursday.
Benedict won 25-13, 25-11, 25-18 to improve to 12-8 overall on the season and 10-6 in the SIAC. Fort Valley State fell to 2-13 overall and 2-13 in the SIAC.
Freshman
Alexis Flagler and sophomore Terea Sweeting had six kills each to lead the Benedict attack. Flagler also had four blocks.
Ashley Jackson had 21 assists.
Fort Valley State hit -.148, as the Lady Wildcats has just nine kills.
Benedict wraps up the 2012 regular season next week with home games on Wednesday and Thursday. The Lady Tigers will take on Fayetteville State in a non-conference match on Wednesday and take on Clark Atlanta on Thursday for Senior Night.
