FRANKFURT, Ky. – Benedict College picked up three more wins at the SIAC Crossover volleyball tournament, finishing the three-day tournament with a 5-1 record.
On Friday, the Lady Tigers defeated Tuskegee 3-0 and Miles 3-0, before dropping a 0-3 decision to Kentucky State. On Saturday, Benedict downed Lane 3-0.
LaTayvia Mack had 11 kills, 10 digs and three blocks to lead Benedict in the 25-21, 25-19, 25-21 win over Tuskegee.
Ashley Jackson had 21 assists.
Lorena Leao had 13 digs to lead the defense, while
Je'Nae Saunders added 11 digs.
Benedict had an easy time against Miles, taking a 25-4, 25-9, 25-9 victory.
Terae Sweeting and
Alexis Flagler had five kills each, while Jackson had 20 assists.
The Lady Tigers dropped a tough 25-21, 25-23, 25-23 decision to Kentucky State. Mack had 16 kills, while Jackson had 26 assists. Saunders recorded 14 digs.
On Sunday, Benedict wrapped up the tournament with a 25-14, 25-16, 25-14 win over Lane. Mack had 13 kills and a .600 hitting percentage.
Liyah Davis had 28 assists and a team-high five digs. Benedict recorded 14 aces in the match.
Benedict is now 8-3 overall and 6-1 in conference play. The Lady Tigers face Albany State on Wednesday.
