COLUMBIA, S.C. – North Greenville University snapped Benedict's two-game winning streak with a 3-0 victory in a non-conference match on Tuesday night in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
The Crusaders took a 25-14, 25-22, 25-16 victory to improve to 7-5 on the season. Benedict fell to 3-3.
Majda Cisic led Benedict with six kills, while
Kiarra Pettway added five.
Je'Nae Saunders, moving from setter to libero, had a team-high 11 digs.
Brianne McMillian, moving from libero to setter, had 19 assists.
Kenzie Pierce led North Greenville with 10 kills, while Hannah Lewis led with 17 digs and Madison Pogue had 36 assists on the Crusaders' 43 kills.
Benedict travels to Albany, Ga., to compete in the SIAC Crossover Tournament, where the Lady Tigers will face all eight teams from the SIAC West Division over three days. Benedict opens the tournament against Stillman on Thursday at 8 a.m.
