COLUMBIA, S.C. – Benedict held Johnson C. Smith to just 26 total points in a 3-0 non-conference volleyball win on Thursday night in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.

Benedict won the match 25-14, 25-7, 25-5 to improve to 14-12 on the season. Johnson C. Smith falls to 5-13.

Adrionna Washington led the Lady Tigers with 12 kills and hit .400. Arneshia Parrish added eight kills. Majda Cisic had a team-high 15 digs, while V'Aira Harris added 13 digs. Aaliyah Lawson had a season-high 25 assists.

Olivia Williams had a season-high six kills and a season-high seven digs. She also had a season-high four service aces, all coming in the third set when she served for the match's final 14 points.

Benedict is back in action on Saturday at 2 p.m. with a home non-conference match against Shaw University.
