PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – The Benedict College women's tennis team advanced to the championship match of the 2018 SIAC Women's Tennis Championship with a 5-0 victory over Fort Valley State on Monday afternoon at the Peachtree Tennis Center.
The Lady Tigers, the two-time defending conference champions, will take on Clark Atlanta in the championship match at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
Benedict easily won two doubles matches and picked up a default win at No. 3 doubles. Benedict picked up another default win at No. 6 singles, and
Juliet Campbell clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles.
Benedict will take on Clark Atlanta in the championship match for the second year in a row. Benedict won both regular season matches against the Lady Panthers this season.
