PENSACOLA, Fla. – The fifth-ranked Lynn University women's tennis team took a 5-0 victory over Benedict College in the first round of the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship on Saturday on the campus of West Florida.
Benedict, shorthanded a player due to an injury, gave away a point at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. Lynn won the other two doubles matches 8-0 to take a 4-0 lead heading to singles play. In singles action, Eliska Petrackova of Lynn defeated
Daniella Rios 6-0, 6-0 to clinch the match.
Benedict finishes the season with a 19-4 record.
