NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Benedict College men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Newberry College on Wednesday afternoon.

Benedict picked up a point at No. 5 singles where Armando Flores beat Alex Amble, 6-4, 6-4. Batsiraii Saurombe dropped a hard-fought close match at No. 1 singles, falling to Edison Ambarzumjan 7-5, 7-6 (7-4).

The Tigers, now 0-4 on the season, travel to Greenwood on Friday to take on Lander University.
