Ay'Anna Bey scored a career-high 44 points and the Benedict College Lady Tigers wrapped up an undefeated conference schedule with a dominating 89-55 victory over Clark Atlanta on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Tigers finished SIAC play with a 15-0 record and improved to 20-5 overall. Clark Atlanta falls to 6-19 overall and 4-10 in the SIAC.
Bey pulled down 17 rebounds for her fifth straight double-double and 18
th overall of the season. She hit 21-of-23 field goals and added two blocks, two assists and a steal. Bey, a sophomore, is closing in on the 1,000-point benchmark for her career with 986 points in two seasons.
Ayanna Armstead and 
Mahogany Randall added 12 points each for the Lady Tigers.
Benedict shot 55.9 percent (36-of-68), while holding the Lady Panthers to 22.1 percent shooting (15-of-68).
Clark Atlanta had an 11-4 lead early in the game before the Lady Tigers closed out the first quarter with an 11-0 run for a 15-11 lead. Benedict scored the final eight points of the second quarter for a 45-23 lead at the half. A 10-2 run in the third quarter pushed the lead to 25 points, and Benedict had a 67-38 lead heading to the fourth quarter. Benedict's largest lead, 88-51, came after a 3-pointer by Armstead with 1:07 left in the game.
Benedict will close out the regular season on Thursday, traveling to Claflin for a non-conference contest.
