COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College women's tennis team played their home opener on Friday, falling to USC Aiken 4-0.
The Lady Tigers dropped matches at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to trail 1-0 heading into singles action. Playing shorthanded, Benedict forfeited matches at No. 5 and No. 6 singles and had to pull out of the No. 4 singles match due to illness, giving the Pacers (3-0) a 4-0 victory.
Benedict, now 0-2 on the season, travels to take on Newberry on Tuesday.
