COLUMBIA, S.C. – Coker College defeated Benedict 6-1 in a women's tennis non-conference match on Saturday.
Benedict dropped two of the three doubles matches to give Coker the doubles point.
Beverly Matsiwe and
Karina Izakova earned a 7-6 (7-5) victory at No. 1 doubles. Matsiwe picked up Benedict's only point of the match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Coker's Tamie Chew at No. 1 singles.
Benedict, now 0-6, returns to action on Thursday, taking on Southern Wesleyan.
