COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College Tigers won a nail-biter on Saturday afternoon against the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls.
The Lady Tigers won the match 25-14, 25-20, 22-25, 18-25, 15-8, improving their record to three wins and two losses.
V'Aira Harris led the Lady Tigers with 18 kills and 18 digs.
Adrionna Washington added 42 total attacks and 15 kills.
Kayla Stephens chipped in with 9 kills respectably.
After going up two sets to zero, the Lady Tigers struggled to put the Golden Bulls away. Benedict would go on to lose the next two sets in a row to even things up. With their backs against the wall, the Lady Tigers would settle down and win the final set to end the match.
Benedict College will travel to Morris College (S.C.) this Tuesday at 6:30 P.M. ET in Sumter, SC.
