ALBANY, Ga. – The Benedict College volleyball team continued their participation in the SIAC Volleyball tournament on Friday, winning all three of their matches.
The Lady Tigers defeated Miles College in three sets, Lane College in four sets, and Lemoyne-Owen College in three sets. This improved their record to 8-6 overall and 4-3 in the SIAC on the year.
In the first match against Miles College, V'Aira Harris led the Lady Tigers with 12 kills, four aces, and 14 digs. Amber Scott also pitched in with 10 digs.
In the second match against Lane College, Adrionna Washington led Benedict with 18 kills. Scott continued her strong play on the day with 15 digs. Daija Walton added eight kills as well to help lead the Lady Tigers to victory.
In the final match against Lemoyne-Owen College, Washington led Benedict with 10 kills and 36 total attacks. Kayla Stephens added eight kills to the contest. Ashleigh Reeves added 31 assists and seven digs to help lead the Lady Tigers to their third victory on the day.
Benedict College will continue their play in the SIAC Volleyball Crossover tournament Saturday against Spring Hill College at 8 a.m. in Albany, Ga.
