COLUMBIA, S.C. – One last home game awaits the Benedict College Lady Tigers before going on the road for their two last games on the season as they will host the Savannah State Lady Tigers beginning tonight at 5:30 p.m. inside HRC Arena.

Benedict is coming off of an 81-52 road victory against Clark Atlanta University just a week ago, a game in which they led by as much as 35 points. Amaya Ashby led the Lady Tigers during this contest with a season-high 17 points.

Benedict won the first affair against Savannah State, 92-62, back on January 25 on the road. The Lady Tigers were led by Shanassia White and Ayanna Armstead, who combined for 37 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, while shooting 9-for-16 from beyond the arc.

Savannah State (13-6) has won seven of their last nine games with back-to-back impressive double-digit victories against Albany State. During this nine game stretch, Le'Andrea Gillis is leading the scoring for Savannah State with 17.44 points per game. Gillis is also leading the Lady Tigers on the season with 19.37 points per game. Azhana Maxwell (14.37), Ta'Kyle Austin (13.32), and Robbi Allen (10.77) are averaging double-figure scoring as well over the course of this season.
