HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Benedict College men's tennis team opened the 2021 season on Thursday, falling to Augustana University of South Dakota 6-1.

The Tigers' only point came on a forfeit win at No. 6 singles by Jaylon Bokknight.

The top match of the day came at the No. 1 flight, as Augustana's Cade Damgaard edged Benedict's Mark Chigaazira in a tiebreaker, 7-5, 4-6, 10-7.

The Tigers, now 0-1, will travel to face Shaw University on Tuesday.
