COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College women's volleyball team plays its first home match of the season on Thursday night, hosting rival Allen University.
The match starts at 6 p.m. in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
The Lady Tigers are 1-1 after a season-opening victory at Claflin and a loss at North Greenville on Tuesday.
Freshman
Kennede Thomas leads the Lady Tigers with 2.38 kills per set, while
Cana Smith is averaging 2.13 kills per set. Senior
Ashleigh Reeves averages 5.75 assists per set. Defensively, reigning SIAC Defensive Player of the Week
Amber Scott averages 3.75 digs per set.
Daija Walton has recorded eight total blocks in the first two games.
This will be the season opener for Allen.

After Thursday's contest, the Lady Tigers hit the road for nine matches before returning to take on Edward Waters on Sept. 30 at 6 p.m.
