CENTRAL, S.C. – The Benedict College men's tennis team won a close tennis match against Southern Wesleyan on Saturday, 4-3.
Four of the six singles matches went to tiebreaker sets, with Benedict's
Mark Chigaazira winning 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Richard Ngwarwi rallied to win at No. 4 singles, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3. Benedict won at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to earn the doubles point.
The Tigers, now 2-1, play at Newberry College on Monday.
