Tuskegee scored the first eight points of the fourth quarter to pull within a point, and the game was tight the rest of the way. The Lady Tigers had a 63-58 lead with 3:21 left to play after a pair of free throws by Archie. Tuskegee rallied to tie the game at 63, then took the lead for the first time since the opening minutes of the second half on a basket with 27 seconds left. Johnson-Kelly made a drive to the basket and was fouled, sinking both attempts with seven seconds left to force the extra period.

Benedict and Savannah State split their regular season meetings.
