PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – The Benedict College men's tennis team advanced to the championship match of the SIAC Tennis Tournament with a 6-0 victory over Fort Valley State on Saturday.
The Tigers, now 14-4, will take on Spring Hill College in the championship match at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Benedict and Spring Hill split their two regular-season meetings, with Benedict taking a 4-2 victory in February. Spring Hill won 4-2 in Mobile, Ala., two weeks ago.
Benedict won three of the five singles matches that were played in straight sets, and lost just five games.
