PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – The Benedict College women's tennis team advanced to the championship match of the SIAC Tournament with a 6-1 victory over Clark Atlanta on Saturday.

The Lady Tigers advance to the championship match for the first time since 2018 and avenged a loss to Clark Atlanta in the 2019 tournament semifinals.

Benedict, now 14-6, will face Savannah State at 10 a.m. on Sunday for the championship.

The Lady Tigers won at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to earn the doubles point. Patricia Wamba, Karina Izakova, Sofia Gomez, Shakendra Alston and Gabriela Zelaya all won in singles play.
