DUE WEST, S.C. – Erskine recorded 53 total kills to Benedict's 39 to take a 3-1 men's volleyball victory over Benedict College on Tuesday night.
Erskine won the match 25-14, 15-25, 25-15, 27-25 to improve to 9-7 overall. Benedict falls to 3-3.
Ras Jesse Delancy had 11 kills to lead the Tigers, while
Terran Walkin added eight.
Kendersley Marcellin had 33 assists. Benedict recorded just 25 total digs in the match, with
Clint Forbes leading with six.
The Flying Fleet won two of the first three sets, but Benedict was leading in the fourth set 24-23 and needed just one more point to win the set and force a deciding fifth set. Erskine scored four of the next five points to win the set and the match.
The Tigers travel to take on Central State on March 10. The next home match is March 17 against Edward Waters.
