COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College men's tennis team took a 6-3 victory over Columbia College on Tuesday.
Columbia College opened the match by winning two of three doubles matches, including a forfeit win at No. 3 doubles. Benedict won the No. 2 doubles match as
Divgurjot Singh and
Richard Ngwarwi took a 6-2 victory.
The Tigers dominated the singles play, winning five matches. The only point for Columbia College came on a Benedict forfeit at No. 6 singles.
Mark Chigaazira took a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 victory at No. 1 singles over Columbia's Waldo Bosch.
Benedict improves to 3-4 on the season.
The Tigers will be back in action on Friday when they travel to play Augusta University.
