ATLANTA, Ga. – Clark Atlanta used an 11-1 run in the second quarter to build a double-digit lead and went on to take a 73-51 victory over Benedict in a SIAC women's basketball contest on Saturday.
Clark Atlanta led the entire game. Benedict trailed 16-11 at the end of the first quarter and trailed 22-16 with 4:03 left in the second quarter when the Lady Panthers used their run to go up 33-17. Clark Atlanta led 33-21 at the half.
Clark Atlanta pushed the lead to 20 points in the third quarter and had as much as a 26-point lead in the fourth quarter.
Aaliyah Lawrence led Benedict with 14 points, while
Taylor Christmas added 11 points.
Benedict, now 2-12 overall and 1-7 in the SIAC, will be home on Monday at 7 p.m. for a non-conference matchup against Converse.
