DUE WEST, S.C. – The Benedict College men's volleyball team opened the 2024 season on Friday, falling to Erskine College 3-0.
Erskine won the match 25-12, 25-10, 25-17 as the Tigers struggled offensively in their season opener. The Tigers notched just 14 total kills in the match, and committed 15 errors on 61 total attacks for a negative hitting percentage of -.016. Erskine hit .478, scoring 39 kills on 67 attacks with only seven errors.
Freshman
Camron Petillo had five kills to lead Benedict in his Tiger debut.
Marlon Belizaire added four kills.
Kendersley Marcellin had 12 assists.
Benedict, now 0-1, will have a rematch with Erskine next Friday at 6 p.m. in their home opener.
