WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Carolina University recorded 52 kills to take a 3-1 victory over Benedict College in a non-conference men's volleyball contest on Saturday.
The Bruins won the match 25-17, 25-12, 20-25, 25-15 and improve to 3-4 on the season. Benedict falls to 0-6.
Camron Petillo led Benedict with six kills, while
Zion Beckford had five kills. Benedict had 27 kills and 29 errors on 95 total attacks for a negative .021 hitting percentage. The Bruins hit .223, recording 52 kills on 112 total attacks with 27 errors.
Benedict travels to St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, N.C. for a non-conference match on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
