COLUMBIA, S.C. – Clark Atlanta won four singles matches to take a 5-2 victory over Benedict in a SIAC women's tennis match on Saturday at the Richland County Tennis Center.
Benedict and Clark Atlanta split the first two doubles matches, with Clark Atlanta earning the doubles point by claiming the No. 3 doubles match by forfeit.
In singles action,
Valerie Essome took a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles.
Patricia Wamba battled to take a 6-2, 7-5 victory at No. 4 singles. Clark Atlanta won at No. 2, 3, and 5 singles, and claimed a forfeit win at No. 6.
Benedict falls to 5-6 overall and 4-5 in the SIAC. Clark Atlanta improves to 8-2 overall and 8-1 in the SIAC.
The Lady Tigers host Converse on Saturday at the Columbia Tennis Center at 10 a.m.
