COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College women's basketball team closed out the regular season on Monday night, falling to Clark Atlanta 73-59 in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
The Lady Tigers fall to 3-23 overall and 1-18 in the SIAC, closing out the regular season with an 11-game losing streak.
Clark Atlanta scored the first 11 points of the game and had a 25-12 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Panthers increased their lead to as much as 25 points in the second quarter, 38-13, and had a 45-23 lead at the half. Clark Atlanta had its largest lead, 58-30, in the third quarter. The Lady Tigers were able to outscore Clark Atlanta 21-11 in the fourth quarter.

Benedict will be the seventh seed from the SIAC East Division and will face the sixth seed from the SIAC West Division in the first round of the SIAC Women's Basketball Championship presented by Cricket at noon on Monday, March 4 at Savannah State University. The game will be available to watch on ESPN+.
