COLUMBIA, S.C. – After scoring just nine kills in a match at Fort Valley State on Sunday, the Benedict College men's volleyball team pushed the Wildcats in every set and recorded 31 total kills before dropping a 3-0 decision in a SIAC match on Thursday night in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
Fort Valley State won the match 25-19, 25-21, 25-19. The Wildcats improve to 6-8 overall and 2-0 in the SIAC, while Benedict falls to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the SIAC.
Camron Petillo had a season-high 11 kills, while
Zion Beckford added eight kills.
Kendersley Marcellin had 25 assists and
Cameron Long had seven digs.
Benedict will play a non-conference match on the road at Lees-McRae on Monday.
