MOBILE, Ala. – The Benedict College men's tennis team went 2-4 in the second SIAC tennis roundup in Mobile, Ala.
The Tigers took both matches against LeMoyne-Owen College, but dropped both matches against Tuskegee and Spring Hill.
Benedict opened the roundup on Wednesday with a 6-0 victory over LeMoyne-Owen. The Tigers later dropped a 4-1 decision to Tuskegee. On Thursday, Benedict fell to Spring Hill 5-2 before taking a 6-0 victory over LeMoyne-Owen. On Friday, Benedict lost both of its matches, falling 5-2 to Spring Hill and 4-3 to Tuskegee.
Anesu Kwirirai went undefeated during the roundup, winning all six of his singles matches.
Munache Marume went 5-1 in singles action.
The Tigers wrap up conference play with a 5-9 overall record and 4-8 in the SIAC, with all four wins coming against LeMoyne-Owen.
