For the second week in a row,
Corion Powers led the Benedict defense. He recorded a team-high 11 total tackles (5 solo, 6 assisted) in Benedict's 24-20 victory over Shorter. He assisted on one tackle for loss for -1 yard. His biggest contribution was a fourth-quarter interception that he returned 19 yards for a touchdown with 2:58 left in the game to give the Tigers a 24-14 lead.
