Munchie Legaux

Munchie Legaux joined the Benedict College football staff as the quarterback coach in March, 2021.

Coach Munchie comes to Benedict College from Edna Karr High School in New Orleans, La., where he served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Prior to that, he spent four seasons at Warren Easton High School in New Orleans, leading the Fighting Eagles to three state championship appearances and three semi-final appearances, while also serving as offensive coordinators and quarterbacks Coach. During that time, he was a part of the two of the most explosive offenses in the history of the program. Munchie was responsible for the development of QB1 series star Lance Legendre, an All-State and nationally-ranked quarterback. Legendre threw from nearly 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns during his time as the quarterback for the Eagles. He also coached running back Aashad Clayton, who rushed for 4,000 yards during his years with the Eagles behind nationally top-ranked center Sedrick VanPran.

Munchie is originally from New Orleans, where he attended Edna Karr High School as a nationally-ranked quarterback. He went on to play football at the University of Cincinnati, where he was a standout at quarterback before suffering a knee injury during his senior season. He graduated with a degree in Organizational Leadership.
