Chris Gallman joins the Benedict College men’s basketball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant.
Gallman serves as the head coach of SC Team Unleashed, a Nike EYBL program. In his second year guiding the program, his team finished among the top 26 EYBL teams overall. He has coached 10 players ranked among the Top 45 players in South Carolina, including four ranked in the Top 20.
He also has served as head assistant coach at Midlands STEM Charter School, where he helped launch the school's first-ever varsity program. He also served as the head coach of the Columbia-based Grassroots Program, leading the team to a 56-14 record over three seasons, including going 35-1 against South Carolina opponents.
Gallman spent more than 15 years in law enforcement, where he also led youth outreach efforts and mentorship programs.
Gallman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Economics) from the University of South Carolina – Upstate in 2007.
