Box Score TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Stillman College rallied from a 13-point second-half deficit to beat Benedict College 69-66 in their SIAC opener on Thursday night.
The Tigers held a 65-52 lead with 5:24 left in the game after a layup by 
Brennan Reynard. That was the last field goal for the Tigers. Stillman then scored 12 straight points to cut the lead to 65-64, the final points coming on a 3-pointer by D'uanaway Barnes.
Stillman took its first lead of the second half, 67-66, on a jumper by Justin Harris with 16 seconds left. The Tigers turned the ball over on the next possession. Stillman's Damian Ford hit two free throws with eight seconds left to make it 69-66. Benedict's 
Rickie Jackson missed a 3-pointer and a chance to tie at the buzzer.
Reynard led the Tigers with 16 points, while 
Xavier Collier added 15 points. 
Marcus Goode had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Benedict falls to 4-5 overall and 0-1 in the SIAC.
Stillman improves to 5-4 overall and 1-0 in the SIAC. Barnes led Stillman with 21 points.
Benedict is at Miles on Saturday at 3 p.m.
