Box Score ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Claflin University defeated Benedict College 3-2 in the final conference volleyball match for the Lady Tigers.

Clafin won 25-15, 22-25, 25-17, 24-26, 15-8 to improve to 16-11 overall and 11-4 in the SIAC. Benedict fell to 14-10 overall and 11-6 in the SIAC.

Benedict trailed 24-22 in the fourth game, but scored the final four points to force a deciding fifth game. But the Lady Tigers couldn't carry over the momentum, as the Lady Panthers jumped out to a 12-4 lead in the fifth game.

Lorena Leao had a double-double for the Lady Tigers with 16 kills and 19 digs. Kelsey Green had a team-high 26 digs. LaPromise Boone had 18 assists and 10 digs.

Benedict closes out the regular season on Sunday at noon, hosting Johnson C. Smith for Senior Day.
