BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Benedict College Lady Tigers shot just 25 percent and dropped their second straight game as Lynn University took an 82-57 victory on Sunday in the Blue & White Tournament, hosted by Lynn.
Lynn used an 11-1 run in the first half to take a 25-15 lead. Benedict scored the next nine points, but Lynn went on another big run to take a 36-26 lead at the half.
Benedict opened the second half with baskets by
KaDeeja Vaughn and
Britenique Harrison to cut the lead to 36-30, but Lynn scored the next seven points and kept a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
London Richardson and
Kari Jones led the Lady Tigers, now 5-2, with eight points each.
Lynn impoved to 4-4 on the season. The Fighting Knights had four players in double figures. Lynn shot 52.7 percent from the floor.
Benedict will be back in action on Dec. 30 when they travel to face Newberry College at 5:30 p.m.
