BOCA RATON, Fla. –
KaDeeja Vaughn had a double-double with a game-high 19 points and 12 rebounds to help lead the 24
th-ranked Benedict College Lady Tigers to a 74-49 victory over Saint Leo in the Lynn Women's Basketball Courtyard Holiday Classic Tournament on Saturday.
Benedict, now 9-1, held Saint Leo to 25 percent shooting and outrebounded the Lady Lions 55-35. Benedict, the nation's top team in rebounding margin, grabbed 26 offensive rebounds and scored 28 second-chance points, while Saint Leo scored just nine second-chance points on 18 offensive rebounds.
Terri Jacobs added nine points and 10 rebounds, coming up one point shy of a double-double.

DaVontaye Merritt all chipped in with eight points each.
Chelsy Springs led Saint Leo, now 3-7, with 13 points.
The Lady Tigers scored the first six points of the game and never looked back, jumping out to a 20-7 lead at the end of the first period. Benedict increased the lead to as much as 16 points in the second period before taking a 35-23 lead at the halftime break.
Benedict used an 8-0 run in the third period to build the lead to 20 points, 49-29, and kept the 20-point lead heading into the fourth period, 59-39.
Saint Leo never got closer than 17 points in the fourth period. The Lady Lions shot 21.2 percent in the second half.
Benedict will face Lynn University on Sunday at 2 p.m.
