COLUMBIA, S.C. – All Benedict College football games will be broadcast on WLXC Kiss 103.1 FM for the first time in school history, Benedict Director of Athletics
Willie Washington announced today.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for Benedict College to have all of our football games on the radio," Washington said. "We have had a great relationship with Kiss 103.1 in the past with our road football games, and look forward to working with them in the future as the official broadcast station of the Benedict Tigers."
Prior to this season, only Benedict road football games were carried on the radio.
"We felt it was important for consistency to have Benedict football games on every week," said Rick Prusator, Vice-President/Market Manager for Cumulus Broadcasting. "We know there is a large Benedict alumni and fan base and we are excited about the future of Benedict College football."
The first home game broadcast on Kiss was last week's contest against Elizabeth City State. This Saturday's home game against Central State can be heard on Kiss beginning at 6 p.m. Jason James will bring the play-by-play, while Brian Morris will provide the color commentary.
