CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Benedict College volleyball team saw its five-match winning streak come to an end, as Johnson C. Smith took a 3-0 victory over Benedict in a non-conference match on Thursday.
Benedict hit only .032 for the match, committing 20 errors while recording 23 kills on 93 total attacks. It was the second-lowest hitting percentage of the season by the Lady Tigers.
Adrionna Washington led Benedict with nine kills, while
Torcealon Kelley added eight.
Majda Cisic had 12 digs, while
Brianne McMillian had 20 assists.
Benedict drops to 13-11 overall, while Johnson C. Smith improves to 15-6.
Benedict wraps up the regular season on Friday with a double-header match. The Lady Tigers take on Clark Atlanta at 6 p.m., followed by a non-conference match against Edward Waters at 8 p.m., when they will honor their four seniors.
