ATLANTA – The Benedict College men's basketball team dropped their second straight game, falling to Clark Atlanta University 71-65 on Saturday night.

After trailing by as many as 14 points in the second half, the Tigers rallied to cut the lead to 67-65 with 36 seconds left after a dunk by Brandon Morris. Benedict was forced to foul and the Panthers hit four free throws in the final 15 seconds to seal the victory.

Benedict falls to 14-11 overall and 11-5 in the SIAC. Clark Atlanta improves to 16-11 overall and 10-5 in the SIAC.

Quayshun Hawkins led the Tigers with 18 points. Morris had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Christopher Spencer also had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Tajai Johnson led the Panthers with 20 points.

Benedict wraps up the regular season on Monday, hosting Paine College at 7:30 p.m.
