COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College men's tennis team opened the 2017 season on Friday, falling to Southern Wesleyan University 7-2 at Southeast Park.
The Tigers picked up a win in doubles action when their No. 1 team of Nathanial Pinkney and Quentin Eloise defeated Camilo Sandoval and Daniel Bolivar, 8-4.
In singles action, Armando Flores picked up his first collegiate victory with a close 7-5, 7-5 victory over Keegan Barkley.
The men's team is back in action on Tuesday to take on Augusta University at 2 p.m. at Southeast Park.
