JASPER, Ala. – The Benedict College softball team won their third straight game at the SIAC Crossover Tournament with a 14-7 victory over Lane College before dropping a 12-0 decision to Spring Hill College on Friday.
The Lady Tigers move to 10-16 overall and 3-5 in the SIAC.
Tandreanna Conyers went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs, while
Sharik Woods went 1-for-4 with a triple and drove in three runs against Lane.
The game was tied 5-5 after three innings when the Lady Tigers scored a pair of unearned runs in the fourth inning. Benedict added three more runs in the fifth inning as Conyers had an RBI single.
Benedict mustered just four hits and committed five errors in the five-inning loss to Spring Hill.
The Lady Tigers wrap up the Crossover Tournament with games against Miles and Kentucky State on Saturday.
