COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College men's tennis team snapped a five-match losing streak with a 6-3 victory over Montreat College at Southeast Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.
The Tigers took two of three doubles matches for a 2-1 lead heading into singles play.
In singles action,
Nikola Aleksic cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the No. 1 slot.
Taj Ballantyne took a hard-fought 7-5, 7-5 victory at No. 2 singles.
Armando Flores took a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles and
Quentin Eloise battled back after dropping the first set to win 4-6, 6-2, 10-4 at No. 5 singles.
Benedict, now 2-5 on the season, takes on Johnson C. Smith in Charlotte on Sunday.
