COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College men's tennis team wrapped up the SIAC Tennis Roundup on Saturday with a 7-2 victory over Tuskegee University at the Columbia Tennis Center.
The Tigers forfeited two points, but won all seven matches that were played.
Nikola Aleksic and
Quentin Eloise won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, while
Taj Ballantyne and
Julius Mutetwa took an 8-1 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Benedict won all five singles matches that were played. Aleksic won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, while Eloise cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 2 singles. Ballantyne claimed a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles and Mutetwa won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.
Armando Flores picked up a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles.
Benedict improves to 8-6 overall and 5-1 in the SIAC.
The Tigers are back in action on Friday, hosting Salem College in a non-conference match at 2 p.m.
