COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College Lady Tigers volleyball team secured their ninth win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Morris College on Wednesday night.
The Lady Tigers won 25-14, 25-12, 25-11, improving their overall record to 9-7. Morris falls to 1-13.
Adrionna Washington led Benedict with 11 kills. V'Aira Harris added nine kills and four aces to help lead the Tigers to victory. Amber Scott contributed with eight digs on the contest.
In the first set, the Lady Tigers jumped out to a dominating 16-6 lead and never looked back. In the second set, Benedict took an early 7-0 lead from the serving of Harris, who had a pair of aces in that early run.
In the third set, the Lady Tigers went on an 11-1 run to start, highlighted by three kills by  Kayla Stephens. Benedict closed out the set with seven straight points. June Hollins clinched the match with a service ace.
The Benedict Tigers will host Allen University on Thursday at 6:30Â p.m.
