ATLANTA – Clark Atlanta used a strong second half to take an 83-63 victory over the Benedict College Tigers on Saturday afternoon.
Clark Atlanta led from start to finish. Benedict cut the lead to 35-31 with 18:03 left in the second half, but the Panthers went on a 13-3 run to take a 14-point lead. Clark Atlanta used another 13-3 run later in the second half to take a 69-48 lead with 7:33 to play.
Benedict falls to 4-21 overall and 3-13 in the SIAC. Clark Atlanta moves to 12-11 overall and 9-7 in the SIAC.
Jalen Stegall led the Tigers with 17 points.
DeShawn Graham added 14 points.
Benedict will close out SIAC play on Monday against 13
th-ranked Morehouse College on Monday in Atlanta.
