COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College men's tennis team played their home opener on Friday, falling to 18
th-ranked USC Aiken 5-0.
The Pacers won all three doubles matches by 6-0 scores to take a 1-0 victory after doubles play.
Taj Ballantyne dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision at No. 3 singles, while
Armando Flores lost 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.
Julius Mutetwa lost 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles to clinch the victory for USC Aiken (2-0). The other matches were unfinished.
Benedict, now 0-3 on the season, travels to take on Newberry on Tuesday.
