AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Benedict College Lady Tigers outscored Paine College 52-0 to sweep a three-game conference series on Friday and Saturday.
Benedict won the first game on Friday, 20-0. In Saturday's doubleheader, Benedict won by scores of 14-0 and 18-0. Benedict improves to 16-17 overall and 9-6 in the SIAC. Paine falls to 0-17 overall and 0-12 in the SIAC.
Benedict hit five home runs in the three games.
Erika Dargan had a grand slam and drove in five total runs in Friday's game.
Starkeira Daniel had two homers on Saturday, going 7-for-7 with 11 total RBIs in the two games.
Tandreanna Conyers had a three-run homer on Friday and added a solo homer in Saturday's first game. Dargan went 5-for-5 with eight RBIs on Saturday.
Marshallnae Bell threw a two-hitter on Friday.
Cherica Pye threw a two-hitter in the first game Saturday, and
Taylor Roberts threw a one-hitter in the second game.
The Lady Tigers return to action with a three-game conference series at home against Fort Valley State next weekend. Saturday's game starts at 1 p.m., with Sunday's doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
