ALBANY, Ga. – Miles College jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and went on to take an 8-3 victory over Benedict College and knock the Tigers out of the SIAC Baseball Championship on Friday.
Benedict wraps up the 2019 season with a 14-20 record.
The Golden Bears scored four runs in the first inning, getting a two-out, three-run homer by Destin Davidson.

Javier Santiago brought home
Christopher Harper on a sacrifice fly. Benedict cut the lead to 4-3 in the seventh inning when Harper hit a double to right field to score a pair of runs.
A two-out Benedict error in the eighth inning allowed two runs to score for Miles. The Golden Bears added two more runs in the ninth inning on a pair of two-out singles.
Miles advanced to take on Kentucky State in an elimination game later Friday evening.
