TIGERVIILLE, S.C. – The Benedict College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to North Greenville University on Tuesday night.
North Greenville won the match 25-11, 25-17, 25-23 which moves the Lady Tigers to a 1-2 record overall.
Adrionna Washington let the Lady Tigers with nine kills. V'Aira Harris led the team with 21 total attacks, while Daija Walton had another solid performance with three kills and six total attacks.
In the second set, the Lady Tigers were up 5-3 after a service error by the Crusaders. North Greenville scored the next six straight points before the Lady Tigers closed the gap to four at 17-21. North Greenville would then score four straight points to win the set.
The Lady Tigers were winning 23-20 after a kill by Harris in the third set. The Crusaders would then score five straight points to win the set and end the match.
Benedict travels to Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, N.C., on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
