ALBANY, Ga. -- The Benedict College volleyball team participated in the SIAC Volleyball Crossover tournament where they won one out of three matches on Thursday.
The Lady Tigers defeated Tuskegee University 25-15, 20-25, 25-18, 25-19, but lost to Central State University 3-0 and Kentucky State University 3-1, dropping their record to 5-6 overall and 1-3 in the SIAC.
In the win against Tuskegee University, Adrionna Washington led the Lady Tigers with 14 kills. V'Aira Harris added 11 kills and two aces, while Ashleigh Reeves pitched in with 28 assists.
Against Central State, Reeves led the Lady Tigers with 22 assists and 12 digs. Against Kentucky State, Washington led Benedict with 19 kills, while Harris chipped in with 17 digs.
Benedict College will continue their play in the SIAC Volleyball Crossover tournament Friday against Miles College at 10 a.m. in Albany, Ga., with matches against Lane at 2 p.m. and LeMoyne-Owen and 6 p.m.
