Box Score COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College men's tennis team picked up another win on Saturday at the SIAC tennis roundup, defeating LeMoyne-Owen College 6-0 at the Richland County Tennis Center.
The Tigers improved to 5-3 overall and 5-0 in the SIAC. Benedict's other matches against Spring Hill and Lane were postponed and will be made up at a later date.
Benedict won the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches, with LeMoyne-Owen defaulting at No. 3 for the doubles point.
In singles action,
Armando Flores and
Nikola Aleksic won easily at No. 5 and No. 4 singles.
Taj Ballantyne and
Julius Mutetwa picked up wins at No. 3 and No. 2, before
Mark Chigaazira closed out the match with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 1 singles.
Benedict is scheduled to play Augusta on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Richland County Tennis Center.
